Theo Cafe

Theo Cafe is held monthly on a Sunday afternoon at 4.00pm. It provides an opportunity for anyone who is interested to participate in a theological discussion on a selected topic. Past topics have included “Looking for Jesus - Finding Yourself”, “Why We Do What We Do in the Anglican Church”, “Unknow Thyself: Psychoanalysis and Theology”, and “What is Faith?” Come along and join in the discussion or simply sit and listen.

The heart and soul of the Theo Cafe concept is to give people a new way of seeing theology. Every time we speak of God we are talking theology. Theo Cafe wants to crush the idea that theology is boring or that it takes the experience out of our faith. We want to encourage people to debate (in the respectful and constructive sense of the word) and introduce people to theologians and concepts that have probably shaped their arguments without them even knowing it.
